Home Invasion

We are not sure how it happened but Elmo has invaded our home. Brian and I made a great effort during Keith's infancy to keep the focus off of Elmo and onto other Sesame Street characters, such as Grover. He loved Grover. But then Elmo squeaked in and took center stage. We asked ourselves how this happened and soon realized it was all because of our favorite brand: Earth's Best. They endorse Sesame Street, ergo Elmo is on all of Keith's food boxes.

This Christmas Keith got a little stuffed Elmo for a buddy from Grandma. Here is their friendship in pictures:
Cooking with Dad

Chatting about life

He even shared a cherrio with him and let him sit on his favorite chair.

He wanted Elmo to "Nee-Nee" (eat) with him.

Elmo needs a fresh carrot from the garden

He put the car by his hand

Time to hang out with Uncle Brandon and Elmo!

This was the first time he ever did this. Keith says, "Elmo night night!" and gives him a pacifier and blanket just like he has. We melted....Welcome to our home Elmo!

Keith's Room

Keith's room was one of the biggest transformations in our home. Also, one of the most important. We had to get his room in order so that we could get his crib in there for a good night's sleep. Here's a little background to the room before: This house contained 5 girls and 1 boy with the previous owners. Needless to say, most times when things involve girls, it also involves pink. A LOT OF PINK IN THIS CASE! The the walls, ceilings, closet, doors, everything was pink.
We first thought the ceiling just looked pink because of the bright walls but then we realized they were painted a light pink also.
This room also lacked baseboards. (Brian had a lot of convincing to do)

I decided it would take a power paint sprayer to do the job. However, after 1 minute in this room I decided I was a roller person and conveniently returned the unit to Costco :)

You can see the pink illuminating into the hallway.

Here is Keith's room after some paint, new carpet, and baseboards.

All the closet doors were in the garage when we moved in. Therefore, they still have not made their way upstairs yet :) Keith loves his room!

Christmas 2009

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Here are a lot of pictures to sum it up...
Putting up the tree with my little Ruldpoh

Making vegan sugar cookies. He loved it till we brought out the icing.

Looking at Christmas lights with Papa and Nonna Baker. Keith got to ride in Brian's old wagon he used after his surgeries when he was in a cast as a kid.

Fun times with cousin Laurel. He LOVES her and even says her name.
Two buddies

His first present of the year from his friend Charlotte.

His presents waiting for him. We were blessed to have a friend give us the Elmo bench their son had grown out of. Keith loved it and was the highlight of his toys!

Christmas with the Escalante side

Yes, kissing cousins

Time for Christmas at the Bakers!

He loves his Nonna!

Special time with "Dunkel" (Nice look Keith)

The three things that sum up this christmas would be cars, Elmo and Bocce Ball! Keith loved running around while the Bakers played Bocce Ball. I guess it's the Italian in him :) Merry Christmas!
